On the job
Capson Key Tech is registered on the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Vehicle Security Professional Registry. That registration is what lets us pull key codes and immobilizer programming data directly from the vehicle manufacturer — and holding it requires a background check, state licensing, and carried liability insurance. It's the difference between guessing at a modern vehicle's security system and working with the manufacturer's own data.
Wholesale & Trade
Most of what we do is trade work. We're the locksmith that repair shops, dealerships and used car lots across Eastern Idaho call when a vehicle needs keys, programming or security work that can't be done in-house — and we come to your lot, so the vehicle never has to move.
Fully mobile. No towing a non-running car to a dealer and no shuttling keys back and forth — we work on your lot, in your bay, wherever it's sitting.
Our NASTF VSP registration lets us pull key codes and immobilizer data directly from the manufacturer, so late-model vehicles don't have to go back to the dealer.
When a module has to come out and be read directly, we do that too — including EEPROM work. It's the step most shops have to send away.
All-keys-lost is routine for us. Auction cars, trade-ins and repos that arrived with nothing — we originate keys from scratch.
